چکیده
The hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) is a group of rare disorders characterized by persistently high peripheral blood eosinophiles (≥ 1.5x109/L), and related signs or symptoms organ involvement without secondary causes. Eosinophilia with recurrent genetic abnormalities (PDGFRA/B, FGFR1) comprises minority these patients. In this report, we aimed to point out case 4q12 deletion whose diagnosis treatment were delayed for quite while. patient was followed bronchial asthma long time the recognition hypereosinophilia yielded suspicion HES / Chronic eosinophilic leukemia (CEL). During initial part his diagnostic evaluation, there an unawareness cryptic which target tyrosine kinases. resolved complete cytogenetic response achieved 100 mg imatinib continuing 57 months.

Idiopathic hypereosinophilic syndrome is a multisystem disease with peripheral blood eosinophilia of at least 6 months duration, multiple organ system involvement, and no evidence for other known causes of eosinophilia. It is characteristically a disease of middle-aged men, often has a poor prognosis and is seldom found during childhood. Heart dicsease, characterized by endomyocardial fibrosis ...
متن کامل22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome is under-recognised in adult patients with tetralogy of Fallot and pulmonary atresia.
BACKGROUND Three quarters of patients with 22q11.2 Deletion Syndrome (22q11.2DS) have congenital heart disease (CHD), typically conotruncal heart defects. Although it is currently common practice to test all children with typical CHD for 22q11.2DS, many adult patients have not been tested in the past and therefore 22q11.2DS might be under-recognised in adults. OBJECTIVES To determine the prev...
متن کاملCardiogenic shock with hypereosinophilic syndrome.
We report a child with hypereosinophilic syndrome who presented with cardiogenic shock. In addition, she had skin and joint involvement. The clinical condition improved and eosinophil counts normalized with steroid therapy. However, the skin lesions and hypereosinophilia relapsed on stopping the steroids. The child was subsequently maintained in remission on low dose prednisolone.
متن کاملHypereosinophilic Syndrome
A 31-year-old man presented with rapid onset of intractable congestive heart failure during the course of chemotherapy for eosinophilic leukemia. Patients with a hypereosinophilic syndrome usually die from complications of eosinophilic infiltration and fibrosis in target organs. The resulting cardiac lesions are a cause of death among these patients. Surgical intervention enabled our patient to...
